Lecturer: Physiotherapy

School of Healthcare Sciences

Overview

I completed a BSc Physiotherapy at The University of the West of England, Bristol graduating in 2004. Later completing an MSc Advanced Practice in 2020. Following this I worked in a variety of locations in England and Wales, settling in Cardiff in 2009.

I joined Cardiff University as a full time lecturer in 2018 prior to which I was a clinical specialist in paediatric respiratory physiotherapy at The Noah's Ark Children's Hospital for Wales, working primarily in chronic respiratory and neuromuscular disease.

My teaching is focused around cardiovascular, respiratory and paediatric topics. I am currently Programme Manager for the MSc Physiotherapy and have an interest in exploring variables that contribute to student success at PGT level.

I am a member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Respiratory Care and the Association of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists with a particular interest in chronic conditions and breathing pattern disorders.
