I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Behavioural Genetics Group, supported by an Early Career Research Fellowship from The Waterloo Foundation in memory of A. Bruce Naylor. My research interests are in using model systems to translate genetic findings into a better understanding of pathogenic mechanisms underlying neurodevelopmental and neuropsychiatric disorders. Currently, I am studying the role of Setd1a in development, brain, and behaviour to better understand how loss of function mutations increase risk for schizophrenia and other neurodevelopmental disorders.
