I am a Research Associate based in CASCADE currently working on systematic reviews of evidence for social care interventions and an RCT investigating forecasting and decision making by social workers. I also have interests in interventions to improve educational attainment and health in care experienced young people.

Before moving to social care research I completed my PhD in Integrative Neuroscience. My PhD research used quantitative functional MRI to investigate the relationships between aerobic fitness and brain metabolism and metabolic changes associated with motor skill learning. Following my PhD I worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Concordia University in Montreal investigating associations between cardiovascular disease and brain health.

I also have experience working in public health mapping serious violence trends across South Wales.
