Project Manager, Data Science Academy
Sarah graduated from Cardiff University with a BScEcon in Business Economics in 2006.
Sarah started her career at the University in 2007, working as a Graduate Assistant which involved rotating around various University departments working on a variety of strategic projects. Sarah then speant 5 years working in the University's Strategic Planning Department working within the Research Team as the University's Project Officer who was responsible for preparing Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2014 submission which ranked the University 5th for its research quality and 2nd for its impact.
For the last few years, Sarah has worked as a Project Officer within the Innovation System team, a university wide strategic initiaitve developed by the Vice- Chancellor, of which one project amongst others was to develop an internal business case for the development of a Data Science Academy (DSA).
In early February 2019, Sarah was seconded to the School of Computer Sciences and Informatics to help set up and operationalise the Data Science Acdemy ready for its delivery in Autumn 2019. The DSA, has been set up in response to the demand from both students and industry to provide the next generation of experts in the fields of Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security.
