Senior Technician in Laser Ablation ICPMS Analysis
I am a senior Laser ablation ICP-MS technician in the School of Earth and Ocean Sciences at Cardiff University working on the Reefugia project.
My primary role is to support the research team by producing paleoenvironmental reconstructions of Coral Triangle turbid reef environments based on geochemical analyses of giant Tridacna clams using Laser Ablation Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry Analysis (LA-ICP-MS).
I also conduct other geochemical analyses, such as stable isotope mass spectrometry, X-Ray diffraction, and cathodoluminescence on the giant clams to aid the paleoenvironmental reconstructions. Additionally I offer technical support to other LA-ICP-MS users in the school.
