Digital Learning Designer, Centre for Education Support and Innovation
Neil Mosley is an experienced digital and online learning designer, producer and strategist. He works across the University with schools and academics to design and deliver high-quality online and distance education.
He manages the University's partnership with FutureLearn, developing our online education portfolio and leading on design, development, production and evaluation.
He has designed a range of online/distance courses and programmes across the University. Working alongside academics to define overall objectives, learning outcomes and target audiences. Co-creating storyboards, audio and video scripts, engaging learning activities and course content using a range of digital media and platforms.
He leads the digital learning design on the Welsh Government funded MFL Mentoring project and the Department for Education funded Language Horizons project in England. Both of which seek to encourage the learning of modern foreign languages at secondary level through f2f and online mentoring and learning.
He is actively engaged in online education research and networks of learning/instructional designers both in the UK and overseas, and contributes towards University approaches and strategy in respect to online and distance education.
Prior to joining the University he worked in the EdTech Lab at Imperial College, a world-leading centre for education technology and online learning.

An evaluation of Digi-Languages, an online experience which encourages its users, year 8 or 9 school pupils, to engage in questions which challenge mono-lingual and mono-cultural perceptions. This experience takes a blended approach to mentoring, as an online and face-to-face activity and was developed by the MFL Student Mentoring Project.
