Overview

I have been working at Cardiff University since 2018 teaching German on the Languages for All programme and also on some undergraduate courses.

Since qualifying as a teacher in German and French from Homerton College, Cambridge in 1997 I have worked in several secondary schools in England and Wales, and have lived and worked in Berlin for 4 years. My teaching responsibilities have included Director of Language College, Head of Languages, Head of German and French, Lead for PSE (Personal and Social Education) at Key stages 3 and 4 and Lead for GCSE Welsh Bacc.

I am currently a senior lecturer at Cardiff Metropolitan University leading the PGCE MFL Secondary programme.

I am passionate about learning and teaching.
