Teacher in Sustainable and Urban Design

4.11, Friary House, Greyfriars Place, Cardiff, CF10 3AE

I am part of both the Architectural Science Master suite and the MA Urban Design (MAUD) teaching teams. As a teacher, I contribute to the shared module Earth and Society in the MSc degrees and to different MAUD modules including Urban Design Foundation, Spring Studio and Research Methods and Techniques. I also supervise MAUD dissertations.

I obtained my Architecture degree from l’Escola Tecnica Superior d’Arquitectura de Barcelona, in 2004. After 7 years of work experience in practices in Barcelona collaborating in building and urban design projects, I moved to the UK and achieved my Master degree in Theory and Practice of Sustainable Design from WSA, in 2011. For three years I worked as a research assistant on the Welsh Energy Sector Training Project (WEST) as part of the Low Carbon Research Institute (LCRI). Part of my work was the development and delivery of courses in relation to the Low Carbon Built Environment such as ‘Welsh Timber in Building Construction’ or ‘Low Carbon Building Principles’. In 2015, I changed career paths to Teaching and Scholarship and now focus on teaching activities. I have also worked as a Sustainable Architecture Lead Tutor in the BEST (Built Environment Sustainability Training) project. I am a member of the French NGO Les Ateliers
