Overview

My current reseach looks at representations of transnational identity in the contemporary Italian cultural landscape. An profoundly interdisciplinary project, my theses looks at various instances of cultural production across media of expression, from novels to music and stage performances.

I received both my Italian BA and MA from the University of Bologna. The former in Modern Languages (English and French), whereas the latter focused on Italian teaching as a second language. Most recently, I obtained a MRes from the University of St Andrews which dissertation represents the initial stages of my current research.

During my degree programs at Bologna, I have taken advantage of the Erasmus exchange program twice, with destinations France and England. Throughout my studies. I have been teaching Italian language and culture in a diversity of settings, from volunteering work to university teaching.
