Overview

In my research, I am sudying how the lungs cope with oncogenic mutations, such as KrasG12D, which drives lethal disease such as lung cancer. I am establishing a model of early lung cancer in the mouse lung, which allows us to trace oncogenic cells in the tissue over time. We are to study how failure to maintain tissue homeostasis leads to the formation of a cell of origin in cancers such as lung adenocarcinoma. To do this, I make use of various techniques such as fluorescence microscopy, tissue clearing and 3D microscopy.

I studied Biomedical Science at Cardiff University, opting to take a professional training year in year 3. Here, I worrked at the Max Perutz Labs in Vienna, Austria.
