My PhD project aims to develop analytical theories and numerical models that can accommodate nonlinear effects in photonic topological insulators. Nonlinear effects including saturable gain and Kerr nonlinearity. I will implement a photonic topological insulator on SSH model, then extend it to a two-dimensional array of resonators.
