Overview

Interested in Urban and Architectural Heritage in the Middle Eastern cities with a focus on cultural Heritage setting, tangible and intangible heritage, theories in conservation and the rehabilitation of heritage buildings, and Urban morphological parameters and the effect on the Architectural typology. Her master thesis was about Typo-Morphological Analysis in The Architecture and Urban ism of As Salt City, Jordan - Case of: Sahet Al Ain Buildings, Al Haddadin Complex, Al Jaghbeer Building.
Bayan has six years of experience in As-Salt city greater Municipality which involved the documentation of Heritage Houses using digital Photogrammetry, AutoCAD Drawings, 3D Modelling and Free Hand sketches. The work also includes conservation efforts, management and conservation plans, rehabilitation and adaptive reuse along with tourism encouragement and community engagement programs. she had the opportunities to be a key member in projects like the World Heritage and the Distinctive Destination program held by the USAID and the Ministry of Tourism. 
Bayan is currently researching Sustainable Heritage Led Urban regeneration in the Context of World Heritage Nomination, Modern heritage and the preservation of Cultural Heritage and a member of the Heritage and Conservation Research group
