Overview
A PhD student of Religious and Theological Studies. My area of interest is reform and renewal theories in modern Islamic thought. My Master's degree thesis focused on the concept of renewal in Islam and its implementation in Islamic creed (͑aqīdah). In 2018 I received a scholarship from King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, to continue my postgraduate studies at Cardiff University. My current PhD research centres around Khaled Abou El Fadl renewal's methodology, focusing on the issue of authority and the influence of context in interpreting Islamic tradition.
