Overview
Biochemical investigation of zinc transporters to discover their functional mechanisms in cells
"I am an international student from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). I hold a bachelor’s degree in medical science from Umm Al-Qura University, KSA. Also, I hold a MSc degree from the University of Manchester in clinical biochemistry. Now, I am doing a PhD under the supervision of Dr Kathryn Taylor. My PhD project is focused on investigating of zinc transporters to discover their functional mechanisms in cell. The project is aiming to investigate the function of zinc transporters including ZIP7, ZIP6 and ZIP10 and understand their role in driving cell proliferation and survival."
