Research interests

I started my PhD in October 2014. Previously I had studied Biomedical Science at Newcastle University, where I graduated with a BSc Honours degree in 2014. My undergraduate research project was entitled ‘Understanding aberrant androgen receptor signalling in prostate cancer’ with the focus of post translational modification of androgen receptor splice variants as novel targets to enable therapeutic development towards castrate resistant prostate cancer. During my project I built an ideal foundation of laboratory techniques to begin my PhD entitled ‘HAVcR1 and the prevention of metastatic disease in human prostate cancer’. During my 3 years in Cardiff I look forward to greatly expand my repertoire of laboratory techniques and increase my knowledge of an area I am truly passionate about.
