Research summary

My research is in the area of improving outcomes for children, with a focus on parenting and adoption. I am particularly interested in pre and post support for adopted children and their adoptive parents and how this relates to placement success. I am also interested in therapeutic programmes and their effectiveness.

Research interests

I am particularly interested in the relationship between aspects of family functioning and children’s psychological well-being. My PhD utilizes data from the Wales Adoption Study, focusing on the experiences and of families following an adoptive placement.
