Overview

I am a musculoskeletal physiotherapist employed by Cardiff and Vale University Health Board and have an interest in knee related conditions incorporating thr use of new technologies in rehabilitation for patient and clinician benefit. Having previously worked on web-based self-management of knee conditions (TRAK) as a research assistant under Dr Kate Button at Cardiff University I continue to work with a team at the School of Healthcare Sciences and Versus Arthritis, Biomechanics and Bioengineering Centre at Cardiff University.  I work with Kate Button, Valerie Sparkes, Mohammad Al-Amri, Jennifer Davies and Katie Hamana.

I am researching the acceptability of using biomechanical inertial sensor technology to provide feedback in the clinical setting on patients receiving rehabilitation from knee ligament surgery.  As a part-time PhD student at Cardiff University I am thankful to receive support from; Versus Arthritis BBC, Cardiff and Vale UHB Orthopaedic and Physiotherapy departments, Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and a RCBC First into Research Fellowship to support the development of my research.
