I work on understanding the volcanic tephra plumes produced by explosive basaltic activity at Mount Etna, Italy. This will done in conjuction with the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, INGV).

Volcanic plumes from explosive basaltic eruptions: the case of Mount Etna (Italy)

My thesis aims to improve the understanding of the volcanic tephra plumes produced by the basaltic activity at Mount Etna, Italy. This will be achieved by fieldwork and numerical modelling.
