This course is aimed at advanced level students who wish to improve their aural and oral skills in Spanish as well as learn discuss history and cultural topics in Spanish through the bestseller “La sombra del viento” (The shadow of the wind).

The course will be taught through the medium of Spanish.

Este curso está orientado para estudiantes de nivel avanzado.

El objetivo de este curso de español avanzado es mejorar la competencia del idioma al mismo tiempo que los alumnos obtienen nuevos conocimientos sobre historia, literatura, cultura, y lengua a través del libro de Carlos Ruíz Zafón “La Sombra del Viento”

En este curso veremos los diferentes aspectos que influenciaron a Carlos Ruíz Zafón al escribir la Sombra del Viento.

Analizaremos los hechos históricos que se mencionan en el libro, los lugares donde transcurre la historia, sus personajes y la parte lingüística de la novela.

Además, exploraremos y compararemos libros de otros autores, como Ildefonso Falcones, que han escrito libros con temática parecida.

En clase leeremos y analizaremos algunos capítulos de la novela y además utilizaremos una variedad de recursos para tratar los temas como  documentales y documentos de televisión, textos para trabajar los temas de historia y variedad de ejercicios prácticos en clase.
