The module will give you an introduction to the key themes, concepts and theories in the study of managing people in organisations.
Particular attention is paid to organisations as the nodal points of human interaction within the business world, focusing on both the social and the psychological aspects of these relations.
This is a module is a 20 credit module on the Pathway to Business Management.
Learning and teaching
This module includes tutor-led classroom sessions and student-led seminars. There will be two Saturday schools to enhance your study skills. Your learning and teaching for this module is underpinned by self-directed study.
Coursework and assessment
To award credits we need to have evidence of the knowledge and skills you have gained or improved. On the Pathway Programme you will have formal assessments. These will take the form of class tests, written assignments, a course journal or a portfolio. Your assessments are designed to prepare you for further study in a degree setting.
