Kuwait University joins us for a week long intensive leadership programme
27 October 2017
Twelve delegates from Kuwait University embarked on a week-long Leadership Development programme organised by the Continuing Professional Development team and Executive Education.
Delivered by senior staff from Cardiff University’s Business School and representatives from the professional services team, the programme saw delegates gain a vital insight into the processes undertaken by the university to digitise administrative procedures in order to bring about improvement. The delegates’ schedule was packed with information on a range of topics including: inspiring transformation, agile and customer analysis, quality and time management, and organisation and staff development.
Delegates took the opportunity to visit the university’s I.T service desk, to experience in real time, the type and volume of calls handled by the service desk team and the streamlined systems that have been put in place to effectively handle the 10,000 queries and requests received every month.
Away from campus, the delegates visited Shared Services Connected Ltd who deliver a range of high quality shared services for Government and Police clients, enabling them to operate more efficiently and more effectively. The tour offered a glimpse into a large processing facility and the delegates even got the chance to try out some virtual reality headsets which were popular all round!
At the end of the programme, the delegates were presented with a certificate of attendance by Professor Mohamed Naim, Deputy Dean of Cardiff Business School. Final feedback comments from the delegates included: “everything was so great the location and the teaching and the topics”.
