PhD enrolment

Enrolment and induction information for new and returning PhD students at the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences.

Congratulations on being offered a place at Cardiff University. We are looking forward to welcoming you as you start your studies, and are working hard to ensure that you will be living and learning safely.

To help you settle into student life, we are busy planning induction activities where you will have the opportunity to get to know both staff and your Academic School.

Online enrolment

All students must enrol online via SIMS. Returning students will need their University username and password to access SIMS online.

New students will be sent an email (or letter where an email address is not available), approximately three weeks prior to the start date of the programme advising you to complete online enrolment.
