Careers and employability
We are constantly reviewing and developing our professionally accredited teaching programmes, ensuring our School is a place where students can advance intellectually and in career and professional terms.
There are numerous rewarding and varied career opportunities for our students both within Britain and world-wide and we have a diverse Alumni who reflect the multiple pathways a degree with us can take you.
- 91% of our students are in employment or further study within six months of graduating.
The professional and academic training supplied throughout our degree programmes means that as a School, we consistently achieve high ratings in the National Student Survey, with a 94% satisfaction rate being achieved in 2017.
We offer advice and guidance to our students at every stage of the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Enhancing the University's central Student support programme that includes career advice and information, workshops, placements and more, we offer additional expert support and guidance through our dedicated in-School Placements Manager. Our advisor delivers an additional tailored range of careers-related events throughout the year and can help you to meet your career ambitions through a range of focused activities.
Our career support does not end at graduation, as you will be exposed to multiple benefits exclusively for alumni. Careers advice is available to alumni up to two years after graduation and you will be able to attend careers fairs, workshops and events as well as access careers and vacancy information, graduate internships and more.
You will also have the opportunity to join the private Cardiff University Alumni Network group on LinkedIn and network with over 10,000 members. You will be able to engage directly with fellow alumni to ask career questions, hear about job opportunities and find out about the latest news and insight from Cardiff University.
