Urbanisation in Transition: The Experiences of Kuala Lumpur Extended Mega Urban Regions (KLEMUR)

The presentation will discuss the urbanization process take place in Kuala Lumpur and its region, way back before World War II. Dr. Mohamed will talk about the urbanization process and its drivers, its implications and impacts to landuse, people and health.

Healthy Food Choices and Diabetes

Ms Chong will present one of the case studies published in the SCHEMA case studies portfolio that was launched at the 9th World Urban Forum 2018. This case study will look at the barriers to healthy eating and the consumption patterns of unhealthy diets leading to a higher diabetes rate in Malaysia.
