Come and join us to hear Nobel Prize winner Professor Barry Barish talk about the amazing hunt for gravitational waves which began when they were first predicted by Einstein over 100 years ago. Professor Barish, who was awarded the Nobel Prize for Physics in 2017 for his role in the detection of gravitational waves in 2015, was the founder and former Director of LIGO. He will be talking about his contribution to this momentous scientific event, and will present his view of the future of gravitational wave astronomy.
