Lecture by Carolyn Butterworth, School of Architecture, University of SheffieldWednesday March 2, 1pm-2pm, Lecture room 0.53, Bute

Carolyn leads Sheffield School of Architecture’s Live Projects and is director of Live Works, the UK’s first permanent University-funded ‘Urban Room’ that combines live pedagogy, a graduate project office, civic engagement and participatory research.

She is a an advocate of the value of live pedagogy in architectural education and teaches students how to engage with local communities actively and creatively on site, often in collaboration with artists. She is also Chair of the national Urban Rooms Network, set up as a result of the Farrell Review into the future of the built environment.All are welcome.
