One of the UK's most well-known politicians, The Rt. Hon. Lord Michael Heseltine, will deliver this year’s Hadyn Ellis Distinguished Lecture on Wednesday 28 November 2018.

By November this year, pressure will be mounting on the UK and EU to agree the terms of Brexit. Lord Heseltine will reflect on this draft treaty, bringing his immense experience as former Deputy Prime Minister and key critic of the campaign to exit the EU.

What will the withdrawal terms mean for future UK trade? What will it mean for the union between the four UK nations? Will the proposals be able to secure sufficient political support to be ratified by Parliament? This lecture will be an opportunity to hear first-hand insights from one of the foremost parliamentarians of his generation, and to consider the ramifications of the biggest political challenges that lie ahead of us.
