Immersive South Wales is a meet-up organised by Creative Cardiff for the burgeoning immersive technology cluster in South Wales. These events provide an opportunity for knowledge sharing and learning on emergent technology (virtual reality/augmented reality/mixed reality) between tech and creative practitioners and a diverse range of academics using the technology. We hope to encourage networking and opportunities for collaboration.

Join us for our next online meet-up where you can expect a showcase talk from:

Virtus Tech

Virtus Tech is opening new horizons by changing the way customers can shop, learn, and gather information with VR. Their mission is simple... give anyone or any business the ability to create and deploy their own personalised virtual tour platforms in their own way, how they want, where they want. Their DIGI Tour & DIGI Data services have helped many businesses add value to their online platforms ranging from independent estate agents to educational institutions, and retailers. They are now currently expanding their technology into the health care sector as they are currently working with national health care clients to create a real-time VR medical training platform.

We actively welcome those who have not attended the meet-up before.

*Please let us know if you have any requirements such as BSL, speech-to-text reporting, or simultaneous English to Welsh translation in the sign up form and we can arrange support.*

This event will take place on the video conferencing tool Zoom. To download Zoom visit: https://zoom.us/download. If you require any assistance accessing this platform please contact creativecardiff@cardiff.ac.uk.

More information on our contributors

After working in various roles in retail, George came up with an idea in helping business find an easier way to showcase their product and services, as well as displaying key information using VR. The idea was spawned during a marketing university lecture in 2018 and now has flourished into Virtus Tech of which he has been working on full time. George has developed his skills in marketing, designs and photography, putting the materials learnt from university into practice.
