The Awakening of Wales’ Devolved Consciousness
The Government of Wales Act came into law 23 years ago but arguably, Wales has never felt the potency of its devolved powers more than when dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. Join Will Hayward, Political Editor for Media Wales, author of the recent book “Lockdown Wales”, to hear his perspectives on how Covid-19 has awoken Wales' devolved consciousness.
He will also touch on his reporting experiences at Wales' largest news provider during the biggest news story since the Second World War, sharing insights on the massive shifts that his industry has experienced. Finally, he will focus on the lessons that can be learned from this crisis, particularly with a view as to how these lessons could help us to deal with other crises, such as climate change.
