This webinar brings together representatives from Cardiff University, Welsh Government, NUS Wales and the Future Generations Commissioner to discuss the impact of COVID-19 on future generations, and how universities can adapt their civic mission to support the wider Welsh community after COVID. Following brief opening remarks by Professor Colin Riordan (Vice-Chancellor, Cardiff University) and Sophie Howe (Future Generations Commissioner for Wales), there will be a discussion, and a Q&A session on the question “How do we prevent future generations paying the price for COVID-19? ” with the following panel:

  • Jeremy Miles MS (Counsel General, Welsh Government)
  • Sophie Howe (Future Generations Commissioner)
  • Becky Ricketts (President, NUS Wales)
