Armistice Day falls on Monday 11 November 2019 and staff, students and members of the public are invited to attend the University’s Act of Remembrance Service and observe the Two Minute Silence.
Those who wish to attend are asked to assemble in the John Viriamu Jones (VJ) Gallery, Main Building at 10:50am to allow proceedings to begin on time.
The Service will be led by Vice-Chancellor, Professor Colin Riordan, Co-ordinating Chaplain, Rev Delyth Liddell and the University Multi-faith chaplaincy.
Please note that access to the VJ Gallery from the horseshoe drive entrance of Main Building will be closed from 10.50am - 11:20am and access from the car park entrance will only be permitted for those attending the Act of Remembrance during this time. There will be no access to the first-floor gallery from the VJ Gallery for the duration of the Service and access to the Science Library will be restricted.
Access through Main Building via the School of Chemistry and School of Earth and Ocean Science entrances will not be affected.
