Ymchwil
Mae fy niddordebau ymchwil yn y ddealltwriaeth fathemategol o briodweddau mecanyddol deunyddiau meddal, gan gynnwys modelu amlraddfa, dadansoddi gwladwriaethau, optimeiddio a mesur ansicrwydd. Maes pwysig yn fy ngwaith yw modelu mathemategol elastomers crisial hylifol (LCEs). Mae'r rhain yn ddeunyddiau amlswyddogaethol datblygedig sy'n cyfuno hydwythedd â threfn gyfeiriadol. Yn benodol, mae straenau mecanyddol yn arwain at newidiadau mewn trefn crisialog hylifol ac mae newidiadau yn y drefn gyfeiriadol yn cynhyrchu straen a straeniau mecanyddol. Oherwydd eu dadffurfiadau gwrthdroadwy mawr ac ymatebion deunydd cymhleth ym mhresenoldeb symbyliadau naturiol fel gwres neu olau, a meysydd trydan neu fagnetig, LCEs yn addas ar gyfer ystod eang o gymwysiadau mewn gwyddoniaeth, gweithgynhyrchu ac ymchwil feddygol. Trosolwg gyrfa
Dechreuais fy nhaith fathemategol fel myfyriwr israddedig ym Mhrifysgol Bucharest, Romania, ac yn ddiweddarach parhaodd fy astudiaethau gyda Rhan III o'r Tripos Mathemategol ym Mhrifysgol Caergrawnt, y DU. Yn 2005, enillais fy PhD am ymchwil mewn dadansoddi rhifiadol o Brifysgol Durham, y DU.
