Bywgraffiad

I was born in Cardiff and spent the first 24 years of my life in Wales. I obtained my BSc and PhD in computer science from Swansea, after which I spent five post-doctoral years in Canada (at Concordia University, Montréal) and France (at the University of Savoie, Chambéry). Returning to the UK in 1994, I spent 13 years at the University of Aberdeen in Computing Science. In December 2007 I returned to my home city, as Professor of Intelligent Systems and Director of Research in the School of Computer Science at Cardiff University.

My research focuses on techniques for information provisioning and decision-support in complex environments centred on human-computer collaboration and human-machine teams.
