Dr Fabio Noviello
Honorary Research Associate
In Spring 2012 I moved to the Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics (JBCA) at the University of Manchester. I continued working on Planck, while collaborating on the Large Scale Polarization Explorer (LSPE) CMB balloon experiment and various ESA contracts related to instrumentation relative to future CMB missions. I also was the project manager for the JBCA intrumentation group as well as for the BINGO hydrogen mapping experiment.
In Autumn 2015, I took on a position as Associate Patent Examiner at the UK Intellectual Property Office (IPO) in Newport. I work mainly in subject matter related to image processing (hardware and software), am the Office's local "space expert", and also collaborate with the Informatics (data analytics) unit.
In my current incarnation as a researcher, I continue pursuing my interests at the interface of astrostatistics, instrumentation and cosmology, mainly in view of upcoming and future CMB polarisation experiments.
