Research interests include: the use and reuse of classical themes and characters within the history of art as it covers numerous periods and genres.

I am also interested in nineteenth century art with particular reference to interpretations and perceptions of social history including portrayals relating to mental health, crime and funerary art.

I published my first book in 2009: Roman Britain and Classical Deities: Gender and Sexuality in Roman Art. Oxford: Archaeopress (British Archaeological Reports British Series), and am currently working on my second (Romano-British Art).
