Dr Andrew Glanfield

School Manager and Head of Cardiff Business School's Professional Services Section.

Following a brief career as a PhD researcher in semiconductor physics, and a period working within the UK Intellectual Property Office, Andrew first joined the Business School as the manager of an ESPRC funded multi-disciplinary research centre in 2003 after previously working within University's research development and technology transfer central division. Andrew became School Manager in 2005 and has served in this evolving and developing role since, with the exception of a year spent on secondment as Acting College Registrar helping to establish a College structure at the University.

Andrew leads a team of 60 professional services staff encompassing the areas of student experience, student cases, programme support, quality assurance & accreditation, learning technologies support, admissions & Home/EU recruitment, facilities, research, impact & engagement support, HR administration, equality & diversity support, Section support and the School Office.

Andrew is a member of the School's Management Board and Operational Management Team and plays a key role as a bridge and advocate between the School and the AHSS College, both as a member of AHSS College Operations Board and also through his role in managing services delivered to the School by both the College and University.

Andrew is a member of the Chartered Association of Business School's (CABS) Professional Managers Steering Committee (PSMC).
