Overall responsibility for the Research and Finance Professional support teams, ensuring a consistent, effective and professional service is provided to staff, students, the wider university and external stakeholders. Provides support to the school's research activities including: assisting with the delivery of the research strategy and monitoring progress in achieving agreed goals; participating in research networks within the School and across the College; providing an effective grant costing service and post award management; providing research performance management information; and ensuring University processes are embedded within the school. Provides support to the schools financial management including assisting in setting the school expenditure budget and subsequent self-funding activities, overseeing the educational financial contracts and ensuring the University Financial Procedures are applied to all the school's activities.
