Profile I graduated in Bologna University with a research project on the spatial energy distribution released from proton beams to biological tissues. I then specialised in Medical Physics commissioning a Monte Carlo model for a 6MV radiotherapy linear accelerator. In 2003 I obtained my PhD with a research on the accuracy of intensity modulated radiotherapy. I have more than 10 years experience of Research and Development in the National Health Service. In 2015 I joined the Cardiff University School of Engineering. I received grants from National and International funding bodies and from the Industry. My area of expertise are: Radiation Physics; Medical Informatics; Nuclear Science & Technology. My research interests are: External Beam Radiotherapy; X-ray imaging; PET Imaging; SPECT Imaging; EPID dosimetry; Molecular Radiotherapy; Monte Carlo Simulation; Radiotherapy Treatment Planning; Radiotherapy Trials Quality Assurance
