I am a PRINCE 2 certified project manager with a BA in Tourism Management, an MSc in Sustainability, Planning and Environmental Policy and a PhD in Geography of Science.

My expertise is in providing full project lifecycle support from the early initiation and proposal stages, through to funding, operational delivery, societal engagement and finally exploitation of research.

At the Centre of Integrated Energy Generation and Supply (CIREGS), I  am responsible for coordinating and developing a multimillion-pound project portfolio funded by WEFO-ERDF, EPSRC and Innovate UK. Projects in which I am involved are  FLEXIS, Supergen Energy Networks Hub, UK Energy Research Centre Phase 4, MC2, and Knowledge Transfer Partnerships.

I am also spearheading the Green Impact programme at Queen's Building.

Here is a blog posts describing my work

I believe that sustainability is the only way forward, and so I am drawn to projects that benefit future generations. For this reason, after completing MSc in Sustainability, Planning and Environmental Policy, I became a researcher and later PRINCE2 qualified manager. I have got a wealth of experience in a professional academic environment which is evidenced by the successful delivery of projects in the context of food and renewable energy.

My thesis was about the controversies surrounding some of the innovations in animal farming. The aim here was to bring emotions into discussions about science and innovation. Previously, I explored a public understanding of the modification of animals.  I have completed various projects concerned with the implementation of farm animal welfare legislation in the UK.
