Luciana is Lecturer in Employment Relations and HRM at the Management, Employment and Organisation Section at Cardiff Business School.
She completed her PhD in Social Sciences (2016, University of Buenos Aires) and a postdoctoral project founded by the Argentine National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET), developed thanks to the award of a Fulbright Fellowship to work in the Institute of Latin American Studies at Columbia University (New York), and a Postdoctoral Research Association with SOAS, University of London.
She recently held academic visiting positions at the Institute of Advanced Studies (University of London), the University of Valparaíso Business School (Chile) and the University of Salamanca (Spain).
Luciana's research interests include international and comparative employment relations focusing on labour unions in South America. In close connection to this, she is interested in the International Labour Organization (ILO) role in the region and the challenges faced by the ILO in the Global South.
Before joining Cardiff, Luciana was an Affiliate Lecturer at the Department of International Development at King's College London.
