Dr. Victoria Patsika is a Lecturer in Accounting in the Department of Accounting and Finance at Cardiff University. Before joining Cardiff Business School, she held posts at the University of Southampton and the University of Bath.

Victoria's research interests are in the area of market-based accounting which includes firm disclosure policies, earnings management, regulations development, corporate governance, executive compensation, and corporate finance with climate change issues and innovation aspects

Her research work has been presented at leading international academic conferences such as the European Accounting Association (EAA), Financial Management Association (FMA), the BAFA Annual Conference, the World Finance Conference, and the International Journal of Accounting Symposium amongst others, as well as at professional organizations and practitioners' conferences and workshops.

Victoria has published in the British Journal of Management (ABS 4) and the European Journal of Finance, while she has several working papers that target to be published in good journals. Her research has received generous funding from the Federal Government of Germany. In addition, she was awarded the Greek State with the National Scholarship Foundation (IKY) for the full period of her studies.

Victoria has experience teaching accounting (financial and managerial accounting) and finance courses (corporate finance) at MBA, MSc, and undergraduate level in the UK and Greece. She has invariably received excellent feedback on her engaging and practice-oriented teaching.
