Andrea is a current student in her second year studying Media, Journalism and Cultural Studies in the School of Journalism. She first got involved with the Grangetown community through the Classrooms Experience project, volunteering at Ninian Park Primary School twice a week to help students who were falling behind in lessons due a language barrier. Through these sessions Andrea got to know many of the children and parents who live in Grangetown and learn more about what wonderful people make up the community. She is passionate about the Grangetown community and is looking forward to helping a lovely and diverse community grow and develop. Andrea aspires to get more students from Cardiff University involved in various volunteering and fundraising projects, bridging the gap between Grangetown and the University.
