I am a postdoctoral researcher working in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry research group at the MRC Centre for Neuropsychiatric Genetics and Genomics.

I currently work on The Mental Wellbeing in Adolescence: Genes and Environment Study (MAGES). We are assessing whether it is feasible to collect DNA samples from adolescents in schools and link this information to mental health measures. More information on the project is available on the MAGES website.

My research interests are in mental health and cognition. I am particularly interested in using complementary approaches to explore what factors increase risk for, or are protective against, mental health problems in young people. In my PhD I examined whether overgeneral autobiographical memory could be a potential risk factor for early-onset depression using a number of different approaches (psychological, genetic epidemiology, neuroimaging). I also worked on a project looking at changes in child mental health and associated outcomes over time.
