Ruth Nortey is a Postgraduate research student based at Cardiff Business School. She is currently working towards a PhD in Business Studies.

Ruth's PhD explores the disability employment gap in Wales 

Alongside her studies,  Ruth is a PGR Tutor, delivering tutorials to undergraduate students at Cardiff Bsuiness Schhol.

Ruth has a wealth of experience working within the disability sectr in Wales in roles ranging from actvity coordinator, tenancy support officer and policy and research officer.

Ruth is interested in the power of lived experience to enat positive change for people from marginalised groups within society. 

Research areas include; disability stuies with a focus on more under-represented groups including disabled people from ethic minority backgrounds and disabled mothers. 

Ruth is also interested in research within the environmental movement that focuses on giving voice to under-represented groups within the movement - disabled people and peple from ethnic minority backgrounds.
