I am a PGR student studying for my PhD in the School of Modern Languages covering British memory of the First World War.
I completed my undergraduate degree at Swansea University, graduating in 2019 and have since been at Cardiff on an ESRC funded Welsh DTP Studentship. This has allowed me to complete a Social Science Research Methods MSc at Cardiff and progress on to my doctoral study.

My research interests centre around memory of the First World War in Europe. I have been carrying out research in this area since my undergraduate dissertation. It has allowed me to explore the long-term social impact that the First World War had on British public consciousness.
In the course of my research I have travelled to a number of sites Commonwealth War Graves Commission sites in the UK and I will be travelling to Ieper, Belgium in order to carry out research for my doctoral thesis.
