Trosolwg

Prior to the Ph.D. I completed a master's in particle physics at Queen Mary, University of London with a thesis on superconformal field theories. I obtained a bachelor's in physics from the University of Warwick, with a research project on applying Monte Carlo and Bayesian parameter estimation methods to semi-leptonic decay data, from the LHC.

Conformal field theory

My thesis focuses on vertex operator algebras, which are algebraic structures that arise in conformal field theory, codifying their symmetries. The primary focus is their representation theory, that is, the modules they admit. Their study is also interconnected with the theory of Lie algebras and modular forms.

Prior to commencing the Ph.D., the work for my master's thesis involved studying a correspondence between so-called chiral algebras of conformal field theories in two and four dimensions, with supersymmetry.
