I am a postgraduate research student in the Galaxies and Observational Cosmology sub-group in the School of Physics and Astronomy at Cardiff University. I am supervised by Dr Erminia Calabrese (from the Astronomy & Astrophysics Group and Astronomy Instrumentation Group). My research aims to characterise cosmic microwave background (CMB) data obtained by the Atacama Cosmology Telescope (ACT) and interpret cosmology from statistical analysis. Through this work, the following aspects of the early universe can be probed:

  • origin of primordial perturbations (the inflationary epoch)
  • neutrino mass scale
  • searching for relic light from the radiation era
  • searching for dark matter particle candidates
  • mapping the matter between us and the surface of the last scattering

I also mark continual assessments for the following modules:

  • 2nd year undergraduate module Stars and their Planets (PX2140)
  • 1st year undergraduate module Introduction to Astrophysics (PX1228)
