Trosolwyg
Rwy'n entomolegydd sy'n defnyddio technegau metabargodio DNA i ddatgelu sut mae morgrug ymledol yn ffitio i gymunedau ecolegol. Gallwn ddefnyddio'r dulliau moleciwlaidd pwerus hyn fel offer i lywio cadwraeth a dangos egwyddorion ecolegol ac esblygiadol sylfaenol sy'n gweithio mewn gwirionedd.
Er fy mod i wedi astudio a gweithio ar lawer o wahanol grwpiau infertebratau, rwy'n arbenigo mewn morgrug. Mae'r pryfed cymdeithasol hyn yn rhan annatod o ecosystemau trofannol, mae ganddynt amrywiaeth eang o ffurfiau, a chymdeithasau mwyaf cymhleth unrhyw organeb heblaw bodau dynol. Nid yn unig hynny, ond maent yn cyflawni myrdd o wahanol rolau ecolegol, o symudwyr pridd, i ysglyfaethwyr, parasitiaid, granivores a ffermwyr-ffwng.
Enillais fy BSc (Anrh.) mewn Sŵoleg o Brifysgol Bangor ac yna es ymlaen i astudio ar gyfer fy MSc mewn Entomoleg ym Mhrifysgol Harper Adams.
