On Saturday 29th September Cardiff Confucius Institute held a Chinese Culture Morning at Penylan Library.

The morning was very busy and welcomed over 40 adults and children from the local community. Many of the children worked their way around all six activity stations (which included story-telling, paper-cutting, calligraphy, Tai Chi, and tea tasting) and were rewarded with a small gift to take home for their hard work. Meanwhile, the adults dipped in and out of activities as they wished, with Tai Chi being a very popular choice!

Cardiff University student Wenyao Sun said: “It's been an amazing day as we've witnessed how creative a lot of [local people] are with lantern making and paper-cutting... Ideas that emerged from conversations over the development of China are quite inspiring! Also the tranquility from a cup of black tea along with deep breaths from Tai Chi, I don't know anywhere else to have a such authentic Chinese cultural experience!”
