Multi-sector pre-registration pharmacy technician training in Wales

To support the career development of pharmacy technicians, Health Education and Improvement Wales Pharmacy (HEIW Pharmacy) have developed a multi-sector pre-registration pharmacy technician programme.
In this evaluation we look at how well this programme prepares trainees for practice. Focused on two HEIW Pharmacy pilots, we aim to:
- Seek the views of the trainees on their sense of how the programme prepares them for practice as pharmacy technicians
- Explore the opinions of their current supervisors (senior pharmacy technicians) and Health Board line-managers (who are their NVQ assessors) on their preparedness for practice.
